Why Bertrand and Nathan like : We love this "French-style British elegance". L'Atelier Lizzie Derriey is not really anything to envy at the Liberty house. It is a real chance to be able to come up with some unfinished projects that have made the talented process of the artist and allows to distinguish the preparatory pencil drawing from the gouache painting. We are collectors of information about the life of the artist.
Expert commentary and biography : Located at 136 of the famous rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris, Atelier Lizzie Derriey is a design house that worked for Parisian fashion designers between 1928 and 1994. The company counted up to 25 artist designers who have created these fabric projects proposed by the gallery. True works of art, it is easy to see in these projects that the finesse of the drawing is remarkable, as is the mastery of color. In fact, you will find unfinished projects on sale in the store that allow you to understand the artist's creative process and the quality of the works on offer. Most of the time in the pure Liberty style, the artists of the workshop were able to show creativity and proposed floral motifs that were both subtle and colorful, influenced by the Art and Crafts and Art Nouveau movements.
