Expert commentary : Bardone excels in the difficult watercolor technique which does not allow repentance but which reveals both the artist's feelings and the subtleties of his eye. Using his lively and confident line in black ink, the softness of his colors, Bardone captures the beauty of nature, people and things while revealing that they are much more than their appearance. It is moreover from them, that is to say from matter that light comes much less than from the sky. This original painting will uniquely personalize the interiors of art lovers. Biography : Guy Bardone was born in 1927 in Saint Claude in the Jura where he spent all his youth. In 1942 he entered the fine arts in Lyon and then joined the National School of Decorative Arts in Paris where his teacher was Maurice Brianchon. There he rubbed shoulders with his lifelong friend René Genis but also André Brasilier, Bernard Cathelin and Paul Guiramand. He will remember from Maurice Brianchon how to arrange trees in his works and to circulate the air in the branches. Nature lives in him, his paintings, his watercolors and his lithographs are crossed by it. It occupies a considerable place in most of the themes that the artist likes, the landscapes of the Midi and the Jura, travels around the world, the seasons, artists' studios, the female nude but also still life or excels. In a context where abstract art and Pop Art predominate, the artist from the Nouvelle École de Paris Guy Bardone prefers to meditate on the Realism of Gustave Courbet. Just like him, without precisely fleeing humanity, he considers more the sky and the sea, the greenery and the snow, the animals and the flowers. Bardone won numerous awards, exhibited all over the world and his works are present in numerous museums in France and abroad.
